The tire provides traction Ecopia M749 high-level and easier handling in the wet, while reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions. With the M749 Ecopia as tire retreading, Bridgestone offers long-distance operators the dual benefits of cost savings over the life of the tire and reducing the impact of tires on the fleet in the environment.

Retreaded tires not only consume less energy and resources into the production phase, but also enable more efficient use of manufacturing materials, which results in fewer tires for recycling or disposal.

Bridgestone M749 Ecopia tire is responsible for about 40% of rolling resistance, 60% is generated by the various components of the tire carcass. Thanks to the retread of the housing of low rolling resistance of Ecopia M749, fleets maximize the potential fuel savings of retreaded tires, which will join the R109 trailer model later this year.

Improved rolling resistance by 12%

Bridgestone launched Ecopia truck tires in 2010, offering new solutions for fleets interested in increasing their environmental responsibility and fuel efficiency. Thanks to its advanced composite technology, the Ecopia generate a 12% improvement in rolling resistance compared to previous profiles of Bridgestone, with a corresponding reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Importantly, this reduction in strength was achieved without compromising the performance of the tires in terms of mileage and wet grip or wear and durability. Bridgestone plans to expand the line with the model retreading Ecopia R109 trailer along this year.
