Nissan continues its new line of commercial vehicles, which began a year ago at the Geneva Auto Show with the NV200. Today, under the same appointment, we know the NV Heavy Duty, which will come to USA in two engines and several bodies.
The NV2500 Heavy Duty was designed to perform at the Detroit Autoshow 2009, but before the crisis that hit the mark, was forced to spend long on this show. A sketch was presented previously, and today we can say that the production car has been quite similar to the prototype.
We then have a line of trucks, which come equipped with solutions in the interior, quite resistant plastic, outstanding facilities and a modern style, although quite similar to the property of the Series E and F of Ford, the kings of the category.
The range must consist of the NV1500, NV2500 and NV3500 HD HD, which also can be ordered with conventional ceiling height or elongated. Cargo space measures 194 cms (76.4 inches) in upper case, or 140 cm (55.6 inches) with the classic. In both cases, the length is 306 cm (120.5 inches) and 179 cm wide (70.4 inches), which is enough space for a number of packages or bulky items.
The engines are two, both at petrol V6 of 4.0 liters and 5.6 liters V8, both with 5-speed automatic gearbox. Although there has been no performance data or prices which the end of the year we will know when it becomes the official launch for the USA. The new NV line of trucks will be manufactured in the country, on the ground of Canton, Mississippi.
